This usually is evident as the tool taking an unusually long (infinite) amount of time to run to completion. A workaround that we have identified is as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Make your selections as you normally would in the tool under the <strong>Parameters <\/strong>tab. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"450\" height=\"299\" class=\"wp-image-1208\" style=\"width: 450px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gis.mtu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/FlowDir1.png\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.gis.mtu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/FlowDir1.png 701w, https:\/\/www.gis.mtu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/FlowDir1-300x199.png 300w, https:\/\/www.gis.mtu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/FlowDir1-452x300.png 452w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Next, switch to the <strong>Environments <\/strong>tab in the Flow Direction tool.
