Self-paced training: ESRI Virtual Campus courses

Our site license includes unlimited seats for ESRI-developed GIS training. A list of courses Michigan Tech students, staff, and faculty can take for free is available here. Each class on the list is linked to a page with full information that includes a course overview, software requirements, an outline, and suggested prerequisites. Courses have a variable number of modules and last from a few hours up to 24 hours of instruction and activity time.

To obtain a code for one of these courses, send an email to mdhyslop at mtu.edu with the title of the requested course. Users will need an ESRI global account (you can register for one at training.esri.com) and access to ArcGIS software, either in a lab or office, or on your own computer with a copy of the ArcGIS student edition.

Note that most courses have not yet been updated for ArcGIS 10.1 or 10.2. The functional differences amongst versions 10.0-10.2 are small enough that you should be able to complete a course with a version number different from your software.
